Welcome to the Office of International Education

Greetings from the Office of International Education at 好色先生TV! We extend a warm welcome to all students, faculty, and visitors interested in exploring the global opportunities within our university community.

Mission: Our mission is to foster a diverse, inclusive environment promoting global awareness, cultural exchange, and academic excellence. Through our programs and services, we empower students and scholars to become engaged citizens of the world.

History: Established in 1993 as the Center for Intercultural and International Programs, we became the Division of Global Engagement in December 2020, incorporating the Confucius Institute. While discontinuing the Confucius Institute in September 2021, we formally transitioned to the Office of International Education.

Since then, we have played a crucial role in shaping Xavier University's commitment to global education, forging partnerships worldwide, facilitating study abroad experiences, welcoming international students and scholars, and promoting cross-cultural understanding.

Get in Touch: Visit us to learn more about our programs and services. Whether you are a prospective student, current student, faculty member, or community member, we are here to support your journey to global citizenship. Join us on a journey of discovery, understanding, and collaboration as we embrace the world and enrich our lives through the power of international education.

Sincerely,

Student Highlight
As a Gilman Scholar, I have been provided with the opportunity to further my education by attending a month-long study abroad program in Costa Rica in summer 2023. This program entails taking a Medical Spanish Course at Veritas University, volunteering in a health care setting and going on cultural excursions. In San Jose, I hope to gain knowledge not only about the Spanish language, but about Costa Rican culture. My ultimate goal is to become a well rounded physician. I know that this goal includes learning about other languages and cultures to make my patients feel comfortable in a time of vulnerability. This program will help me accomplish this by allowing me to advance my Spanish and reduce the language barrier that exists in healthcare.
